Summary

Description

A newspaper marriage announcement, of William Pope, B.A., (1825–1905) of Christ Church College, Cambridge, and Eliza D'Aguilar. The marriage referred to was dated 12 October 1848.

Note: it is possible that this marriage announcement (copied by a number of other newspapers) was an error, since the bridegroom on the marriage certificate (of Eliza D'Aguilar of the same date) is named as Rev. John Pawley Pope (c.1824–1857), who also had a B.A. degree from Christ Church College, Cambridge.
