Summary

Description
English: This is the official Mars Global Surveyor patch, and shows the spacecraft above Mars with stars in the background. A cartoon of the spacecraft trajectory can be seen leaving Earth (blue dot) and travelling around the Sun, Venus and Mercury to reach Mars. MGS launched in late 1996.
