Summary

Description
English: Millmount, Drogheda Millmount is the motte-and-bailey of the medieval town. The present buildings date from the 18th and 19th centuries and were in use as a barracks until 1922. The complex has been restored by the Corporation since the 1980s and now houses the town's museum and craft workshops. In the centre of the view is the Governor's House, the administrative base of the Old Drogheda Society, on the left the Officers' Quarters which now houses Millmount Museum. The ziggurat in the yard is a sand sculpture being built for an arts festival.
