Photograph by Lester Jones for the Historic American Buildings Survey, dated 31 May 1940. The home was built for Rev. James Moore, president of Transylvania College. Later it became the home of Waller Redd, and subsequently was purchased by the artist Oliver Frazer. One of Frazer's daughters later married Oliver Redd, brother of Col. Richard Redd.
