English: Mrs. Laura Henderson (1863-1944) was a society hostess who became the owner and operator of the Windmill Theatre, which was located in the Piccadilly section of London, England, and was the only theatre in London which did not close throughout 1940 and 1941 during the most intense portions of "the blitz" bombings of London by Nazi Germany. She is shown here in this public domain photo shortly before her death in November 1944 at the age of 80.
