Gardens in Lichfield near the Minster Pool. Having just left the Garden of Rememberance, I saw this garden with two statues in it, so had to check it out! A statue of Edward VII in the Museum Gardens. Grade II listed. LICHFIELD SK1109NW BIRD STREET 1094-1/4/41 (South West side) 06/03/70 Edward VII Statue, Museum Gardens GV II Statue of Edward VII. 1908. By Robert Bridgeman. Ashlar. Round plinth has entablature with rosettes to frieze and dentilled cornice; 4 projections support pilaster strips with scrolled bases and lion's masks holding rings with pendants of fruit and panels with names of Empire dominions: CANADA, INDIA, S.AFRICA and AUSTRALIA. Front has lettering: EDWARD VII with crown above and Lichfield arms below. Cap has cornice ball finials. Statue of king in garter robes, bare-headed and with sceptre.
