A Mountain Brook High School yearbook photo of Disappearance of Natalee Holloway released by the Holloway family. It is also available elsewhere online,[1] and has been used by main stream news media throughout the case to depict Holloway. As the subject's appearance has been discussed extensively as a potential cause of the mass media attention, including accusations of missing white woman syndrome, the image provides illustration and representation of commentary within the article that could not be as accurately depicted in words.

Though this image is subject to copyright it is believed to be covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. the image was released to the media by the family to publicize the search;
2. the image is low resolution;
