Summary

Description
English: As seen on West Utica Street in Buffalo, New York in February 2023, a newly purchased New Flyer Xcelsior CHARGE NG battery-electric bus is being test-driven by a Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority operator. It's one of 37 such buses expected to be placed in operation by the NFTA by the end of 2024, the opening salvo in what is intended to be a conversion to an all-electric fleet by 2035. Powered by next-generation lithium NMC batteries that offer a range of 258 miles on a single charge, the buses were first test-run on routes #8 Main, #12 Utica, #13 Kensington and #26 Delavan before being opened to passengers.
