DescriptionNo3 Hall Street North - geograph.org.uk - 1336819.jpg
English: No3 Hall Street North. This was the house of Percy Shaw (1890 - 1976), the inventor of the 'catseye', which has prevented millions of road accidents since its invention around 1933. Mr Shaw established his business, called 'Reflecting Roadstuds' adjacent to the house and, in fact, in Betty Longbottom's photograph of Hall Street North 606415, taken a few yards around the corner, the firm's nameboard is still perfectly visible.
