English: An arrangement of text, with different sizes of lettering.

The Marquis of Hastings was lay impropriator and patron of the Church, St. James's, of which the Rev Marmaduke Vavasour was the incumbent.
It appears that until 1991, Ashby-de-la-Zouch was in Leicestershire, but changed boundaries then made it part of Derbyshire.

The inhabitants of Ashby-de-la-Zouch are respectfully informed that a Congratulatory Address to the Lady Edith Maude Abney Hastings, on her accession to the Estates of the late Sir Charles Abney Hastings, Bart., will lie for Signature at the Library and News Room, on Tuesday next, and that a meeting will be held at seven o'clock in the evening of the same day, at the Town Hall, for the purpose of appointing a deputation to present such address on the following day at Willesley.
