Summary

Description
English: A nucleosome with a single methylation on histone 3 lysine 4 and an acetylation on histone 3 lysine 27 identifies the position of an activated enhancer. If histone 3 lysine 122 is then acetylated by BRD4, the nucleosome can be evicted from the chromosome and a super-enhancer may be initiated.
