Description
English: Photograph shows an EPC GSP-1086 10" thermal printer used to print seismic profile data in real time during USGS Cruise ALPH 98013 (USGS Open File Report 99-37). Thermal printers are used in ocean exploration to create physical copies of seismic and side scan sonar imagery during data acquisition.
