DescriptionOld Kent Road Fire Station, London-14770934577.jpg
English: Old Kent Road Fire Station, 306 - 312, Old Kent Road, Bermondsey. Used from 1903 to 1971. Fire station built between 1903-4 by the London County Council Architects Department. Red brick with Portland stone dressings. Roof has recently been repaired. This fire station replaced an earlier 1868 station on the same spot. Now Blue Mantle Antiques. Grade II Listed Building. Ernest Victor Clark served at the Old Kent Road Fire Station from June 6th 1911 to December 2nd 1913. It appears that there is family accommodation on site so it may be assumed that this is where John Charles Clarke lived from age 3 to 5.
