Summary

I made this table using OpenOffice.org writer, GIMP and a freeware program called "Orbital Viewer" from http://www.orbitals.com/orb/ov.htm

It shows all orbital configurations - depending on values of n,l,m. May become more useful if someone would rewrite this image into a real wiki table. That will require copying each orbital image into a separate picture for each wiki cell. I dunno if that's a good idea. --Janek Kozicki 18:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Note that the orbitals shown left of the m=0 ones in each column are just 2D-transformed versions of the ones on the right side. This is however not what they should look like if the coordinate system is kept fixed and the orbitals would constitute an orthogonal basis.
