preproduced in the Journal of the Polynesian Society 28 (1919), p. 210 from a "unique drawing made by Paiore, a man from the Paumotu Group, in 1869, representing the world, and the heavens above as conceived of by the branch of the Polynesians to which Paiore belonged"
