c/n 24-4346
Built 1966.
This Comanche was flown around the world solo by Sheila Scott in 1966. The 26,000 mile flight took 33 days and broke the previous record.
In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, Sheila Scott broke a total of 104 records for speed, endurance and long distance flying.
Damaged by a subsequent owner, the unrepaired “MYTH TOO” is now on display in the ‘Fantastic Flight’ building at the National Museum of Flight (part of National Museums Scotland).
