Fel nofelydd fe ysgrifennodd chwe nofel a bu hi hefyd yn ddiwydianwraig lwyddiannus iawn ac ymhlith y menywod cyntaf Prydain i fod felly. Gwisgai yn esentrig a ysmygai sigars. English: Hendrefoilan House (trans. winter dwelling of the bare hill) was built in 1853 for the industrialist, Lewis Llewelyn Dilwyn and his family. His daughter, Amy Dilwyn (1845–1935) was a well known figure in the area. As a novelist she wrote six novels and was also a very successful industrialist, one of the first women to be so in Britain. Eccentrically dressed she also smoked a cigar. In 1964 the mansion was purchased by University College Swansea as part of its campus although it is no longer in use. It continues, however, to be the home of the South Wales Miners Library.
