English: On June 14, 1922, U.S. President Harding spoke at the dedication of the Francis Scott Key memorial in Baltimore, Maryland. This address was carried by local radio station WEAR, owned by the Baltimore American newspaper. This was also the first broadcast of a U.S. president by a civilian radio station, although two previous Harding speeches had been broadcast by Washington, D.C. area U.S. Navy stations, NOF and NAA,
