Description Photograph of HMAS Protector in her later role as a gunnery tender at Williamstown naval depot. Her original 8-inch forward gun and 6-inch broadside and stern guns have been removed. She is possible seen armed with her later configuration of 3 4-inch QF guns mounted on the stern and aft casemates and 2 12-pounder guns in the the forward casemates.
