English: Photo of the description of Cineraria purpurata by Carl Linnaeus, in his book Mantissa plantarum altera, page 285, published in the year 1771. J.C. Manning considers C. purpurata an older synonym of Mairia hirsuta, and proposes the combination Mairia purpurata for it.
