English: Caption: "German Pastor Shot to Death in His Home by Unknown Assassin The Rev. Edmund Kayser, Lutheran Minister at Gary. Ind.. who was murdered in his own house. He had been outspoken in his pro-German sympathies. The name of a woman and certain real estate deals he had made are also given as probable causes for the crime. Mrs. Kayser, his widow, is also shown in the above picture."
