Summary

Description
English: Riccarton Parish Church. Riccarton Parish Church was built starting in 1823 and finished in 1825. Robert Burns used to pass the previous Parish Church as he journeyed into Kilmarnock from Lochlea Farm, Tarbolton. Nearby is also the site of Riccarton Castle where William Wallace's Uncle Sir Richard Wallace lived and was reputedly visited by William who is said to have lived there for a time.
