English: The River Derwent at Calver. Calver has been an important place to cross the river Derwent since Tudor times. The first bridge was washed away in 1799 and was replaced by the one in the photograph. A new bridge now carries the heavy traffic which passes through this village. For more information see the Wikipedia articles River Derwent (Derbyshire) and Calver.
