Description

ca. March 1935. Doctored photograph of nuncio Paschal Robinson and German diplomat Georg Von Dehn. The image was doctored for clarity by the Milwaukee Journal for printing in 1935. Compare to unretouched image in The Telegraph-Herald. This picture became a focus of international press coverage when it reportedly caused Adolf Hitler to fire Von Dehn for his obeisance to the church.
