Notes Illustration for the poem "Rosamond, Queen of the Lombards," in Once a Week magazine, volume 5, page 631. Shows the Lombard queen Rosamund looking at the skull of her father Cunimund. In the background Rosamund's husband Alboin, who killed Cunimund. Rosamund will take revenge by killing her husband in Verona in 572.
