  • D- Japanese battleship and cruiser "Advanced" and "Vanguard" forces under Nobutake Kondo and Hiroaki Abe (arrowed red line)
  • E- Zuiho and Shokaku withdraw from battle area
  • F- Zuikaku and Junyo join to launch afternoon strikes on U.S. carrier forces
