The Sarasota Bay Bridge is a double-leaf bascule-type drawbridge carrying Siesta Drive across Sarasota Bay, in Sarasota, Florida. It was built in 1972. This photo was taken from the excursion boat Le Barge, which had just passed under the bridge. Part of downtown Sarasota is framed under the drawspan. The blue building in the middle is One Sarasota Tower an office building. The John Ringling Bridge, with connects downtown Sarasota with St. Armands Key and other barrier islands, is in the distance at the left.
