Summary

Description
English: A size comparison of Saurolophus osborni, Saurolophus angustirostris and a human.

Saurolophus osborni is based on AMNH 5220, an incredibly complete, mostly articulated specimen measuring about 8.5 m in length.[1][2] This specimen has a skull measuring 1 m in length measured from the Premaxila to the Quadrate.[3][1] There are currently three definitive specimens of S.osborni.[1]
Saurolophus angustirostris is one of the largest hadrosaurs known measuring about 12-13 m in length.[4][2] The skull shown here is based on PIN 551/357, which is the largest known skull of S.angustirostris measuring 1.22 m in length measured from the Premxila to the Quadrate. The second largest skull is MPC 100/706 measuring 1.2 m.[1] S.angustirostris is known from multiple specimens.[1]
S.angustirostris is known to have supported small rectangular spines running along the top of the back, known as 'Midline Feature Scales'. Other hadrosaurs are known to have had these, such as Brachylophosaurus Edmontosaurus and Gryposaurus, it is possible S.osborni had them as well but are not currently preserved.[5][6]
• The humans are scaled to 170 cm (5 ft 7 in) and 160 cm (5 ft 3 in), respectively.
