  • original description: Richard Minkler is placing the CD rom with over 625,000 names on the Impactor spacecraft. Note what looks like a telephone cord that is attached to his wrist. It is a grounding cable to prevent electro-static discharge between him and the spacecraft. Such a discharge could be disastrous to sensitive electronics.
