Summary

Description

Seorae Village, in Banpo-dong near the express bus terminal in southern Seoul, is home to many people of French origin. I don't know how that came about, but it is a very interesting place to walk through.

There is no way I am going to mistake this place for a Parisian neighborhood; the ambiance and the architecture are so modern-day Seoul (not necessarily pleasing). But every light pole has a flag pair (the South Korean Taegeukki and the French Tricouleurs) and even the sidewalks are done with the French tricouleurs. Many community services, such as a school, cater to the needs of the French.

At least I could reminisce my moments in Paris, which is one of my favorite travel destinations around the world. And about a year later, I would find myself again in Paris.
