English: Protesters at Shahbag, Dhaka, Bangladesh demanding the death penalty for Kader Molla and all other war criminals who are currently being tried before the International Crimes Tribunal Bangladesh for the war crimes they committed during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. On 5 February 2013, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 convicted Kader Molla of rape of minors and at least 350 murders. According to the judgment, his crimes against humanity were proven beyond reasonable doubt. However, the Tribunal comprising of Mr Shahinur Islam, Obaidul Hasan Shahin and Mojibur Rahman awarded Kader Molla a life sentence in prison, instead of the death penalty. Many people in Dhaka and other cities in Bangladesh have rejected the perceived leniency of the sentence. বাংলা: কাদের মোল্লা এবং অন্যান্য যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের ফাঁসির দাবিতে ঢাকার শাহবাগ মোড়ে গণজাগরণ।
কুখ্যাত রাজাকার কাদের মোল্লার একাত্তরে কমপক্ষে ৩৪৪টা খুনের ঘটনা প্রমাণিত হবার পরেও নামমাত্র যাবজ্জীবন শাস্তি ঘোষণার প্রতিবাদে ৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ২০১৩ তারিখ বিকাল সাড়ে তিনটায় ঢাকার শাহবাগে জড়ো হন ব্লগার এবং অনলাইন অ্যাক্টিভিস্টরা। পরে সেদিন রাত থেকেই এটা কাদের মোল্লাসহ সব যুদ্ধাপরাধী রাজাকারের ফাঁসির দাবীতে সর্বস্তরের মানুষের গণআন্দোলনে পরিণত হয়। |
