English: Native, erect or bushy, densely hairy, perennial shrub to 1 m tall; prickles usually abundant on most parts. Leaves are ovate to elliptic in outline, mostly 5.3–12.4 cm long, 3.5–6 cm wide and deeply lobed; upper surface is green and sparsely hairy, lower surface white to pale yellow and densely hairy. Flowerheads are 3–7-flowered. Corolla of 5 mauve-purple fused petals, campanulate-rotate and 20–30 mm wide. Fruit is a globular,15–24 mm wide berry, pale green to greenish-white when young, turning brown with age. Flowers all year round, but less commonly in Winter. A native shrub, which grows on hills and slopes in eucalypt woodland and is commonly found after fire, drought or disturbance.
