English: South Australian Railways locomotive 526 on the Adelaide-Port Pirie line near Mallala in August 1970, on its way to meet the Western Endeavour, which was the first steam locomotive-hauled train to run from Sydney on Australia's east coast to Perth on the west coast following the conversion of the transcontinental route to standard gauge earlier that year.
