| Description |
English: Southern Cross station features its unique wavy roof all over the station's roof, at the concourse, it features shops, food restaurant and Hungry Jacks, it serves with 16 platforms. 9 to 14 are for Metropolitan Melbourne trains, 8 is for V/Line and special suburban train services, 1-8; 15-16 are for Regional Victoria trains. The station is located on the busy corner of Spencer Street and Collins Street, connected by many tram routes. It is the biggest and one of the busiest stations in Melbourne, all the lines in Melbourne and Victoria go to Southern Cross (soon, the Pakenham, Cranbourne and Sunbury lines will withdraw going to Southern Cross, be routed to the Metro Tunnel in 2025). The station is a premium station connected by a concourse, escalators and lifts, all leading to the suburban platforms. |
