English: replica of[?] the 7th-century Langobard spatha found in a grave in Fornovo San Giovanni, now in the Museo civico archeologico di Bergamo.
Menghin, W., "Ein langobardisches Kriegergrab aus Fornovo San Giovanni, Prov. Bergamo", Notizie dal chiostro del Monastero maggiore. Rassegna di studi del Civico museo archeologico e del Civico gabinetto numismatico di Milano 11 (1971-74).
This might not actually be a replica of the Fornovo S. Giovanni spatha; rather, it seems to be an impression of "a typical Lombard spatha" on exhibit in the Bergamo museum next to[1] the actual spatha of Fornovo San Giovanni, of which the hilt is not preserved, and which has a blade very different from this one. The hilt of this replica seems to be based on the hilt of the 7th-century spatha found at Trezzo sull'Adda.
