Description
English: St. Mary the Virgin's Church, Brading, on the Isle of Wight, England. Arms of the Oglander family of Nunwell, Isle of Wight. Oglander baronets.

Central column:

  • The arms at middle top are of Sir Henry Oglander, 7th Baronet (1811–1874) (Azure, a stork between three cross-croslets fitchée or, with Red Hand of Ulster canton of a baronet) impaling Argent, a fesse gules between three eagles displayed sable a bordure of the second (Leeds). In 1845 Oglander married Louisa Leeds, a daughter of Sir George William Leeds, 1st Baronet. His chest tomb with the same arms also survives in the same church.

Right column:

  • Centre: Arms of Webb of Gloucestershire and Kent: Or, a cross quarterly counterchanged gules and sable in the dexter chief quarter an eagle displayed of the third. (The British Herald; Or, Cabinet of Armorial Bearings of the Nobility,By Thomas Robson [1]). Sir John Oglander, 2nd Baronet, married Mary Webb, daughter and co-heiress of William Webb, an Alderman of the City of London.(The English Baronetage: Containing a Genealogical and Historical ..., Volume 1, By Arthur Collins [2])
  • Bottom. Strode of Parnham (Ermine, on a canton sable a crescent argent). Sir William Oglander, 3rd Baronet (c. 1680–1734) married Elizabeth Strode, the daughter and heiress of Sir John Strode of Parnham, Dorset.
