It was designed by the renowned Milwaukee architect William Wenzler, and was completed in 1957. It is one of the best local examples of Mid-Century Modern Architecture, and its poured concrete roof, which extends 45 beyond the altar, is one of the first local examples of a 'hyperbolic paraboloid.'
