Description
English: Classical sandstone arch with name plates, surmounted by the Royal Coat of Arms.The inscription of the arch reads:

PRO TANTO QVID RETRIBVEMVS

It translates to 'Pro tanto quid retribuemus' which broadly means: How shall we repay [them] for [having done] so much [for us]. [The old Romans used V for U.]

Erected to perpetuate the spirit of those who served their country in the cause of freedom 1914 - 1919 Pass not on till thou has blessed their memory and paid those thanks which God appointed the reward of public virtue

To the Glory of God and in memory of the Fallen these gates were dedicated by the Reverend S. M. Johnston BA Rector of the Parish 23 March 1915

These honor rolls were unveiled by His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir Ronald C. Munro Ferguson P.C., G.C.M.G., K.C.V.O. Governor General Of Australia 23rd March 1918

Above each name plaque appears the words: To those who served their country
