| Description | Diagram depicting a transmission line of characteristic impedance Z0 with multiple mismatches at different points. Power is reflected from each of these mismatches sending a wave back up the line. These reflected waves can in their turn be reflected again from another mismatch resulting in a large number of reflections simultaneously travelling up and down the line in a very complex pattern. |
