NANCY OR MALGRANGE, FIRST QUARTER 18TH CENTURY, PROBABLY AFTER CHARLES HERBEL AND JEAN BAPTISTE MARTIN.

tapestry, depicting the 1702 victory of Archduke Joseph of Austria at Landau, is intriguingly made to fit into a series depicting The Victories of Duke Charles V of Lorraine against the Turks in the 1680s, woven for Leopold, Duke of Lorraine, between 1710 and 1718.
