Summary

Description
English: This is a sample of impact-generated glass from the Darwin Crater area in western Tasmania. Nicknamed "Darwin Glass", specimens range in color from "whitish" to various shades of green to blackish. The impact occurred during the Pleistocene, at about 816,000 years ago.
