Summary

Description
English: The People's Park, Halifax Donated to the people of Halifax in 1857 by Sir Francis Crossley and restored in 1995. Crossley had recently visited New England and hoped his park would recreate some of its beauty in the town of Halifax. http://caldernet.org.uk/halifax/halifax_sites_and_sights/the_peoples_park_halifax_.html The park was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, best known for his design of London's Crystal Palace for the 1851 Great Exhibition.
