Mr Murray's theatrical group, all dressed up to perform The Runaway Girl somewhere in the South-East of Ireland. Checked many newspapers in and around this date, but could find nothing further.
The Runaway Girl follows the adventures of an English woman who takes up with Italian bandits masquerading as musicians. The usual cast includes the keeper of a tea house, Corsican consul, an entomologist, a Cook's tourist, a jockey, a maid and an orphan, but it looks as if the wardrobe person cast the net a little wider in this instance, as many theatrical genres are represented here. Not quite sure where the matador fits in...
