Page 6 article ""Running Again"" discusses the end of the streetcar strike. Page 7 article "The Crisis at Hand" discusses the I.W.W. Page 7 article "An Immature Conscience" discusses the beginning of the military draft in Seattle. Page 18 article ""In Rainier Valley"" discusses the Rainier Valley streetcar.


  • Colonel Clarance B. Blethen was also editor of the Seattle Times; he eventually rose to the rank of Brigadier General, and died in 1941.
  • General Maurice W. Thompson, a lawyer, rose from the rank of private to that of Adjutant General, National Guard of Washington. He died in 1954.
  • Commander Miller Freeman (1875-1955), Commander U.S.N.R.F., was founder and commanding officer of the Naval Training Camp, on the South Campus of the University of Washington, Seattle. He was also publisher of Pacific Fisherman and of The Town Crier, the magazine where this appeared.
