Der Fernwärmespeicher befindet sich auf dem Areal des Wärmekraftwerks Theiß und wird von der EVN Wärme zur Versorgung des Fernwärmenetzes Krems betrieben. Er ist 30 Meter hoch, hat einen Durchmesser von 50 Metern und war ursprünglich ein Öltank. Bei der Inbetriebnahme am 11. Jänner 2008 war er der größte Fernwärmespeicher Europas. English: Districht heating accumulation tower of Theiss, near Krems an der Donau, Lower Austria with 50000 cubic meters volume. |
