Article | |
Portion used |
Left image cropped to centre the figures of Foster and Lane, whole frame required for right image to display all characters. Composite image scaled down from original dimensions. |
Low resolution? |
Yes, significantly reduced from original DVD quality, cropped on one side and down-scaled from original dimensions. |
Purpose of use |
To complement production information and critical comments on set design aspects of Thunderbird 6 and to provide a partial "cast photo" of the cast of inanimate puppet characters (two villains in the left image and three protagonists in the right image). The design of the Gravity Compensation Room, in particular, is difficult to describe in words alone, meaning that a pertinent image greatly improves the reader's comprehension of the subject. |
Replaceable? |
No free or public-domain images have been found and are probably do not exist, since the whole film is copyrighted. Furthermore, a free or public-domain alternative, if available, may not provide as much educative worth to the reader, since the potential for misrepresentation increases if a fair-use image captured directly from the media is not used. |
Other information |
Thunderbird 6 is © 1968 Century 21 Cinema (production) and Universal Pictures/MGM (distribution). |
