Summary

Description
English: Tongland Works Tongland Works were built in WW1 to make aero-engines. It was adapted after the war to make ‘Galloway’ cars but they failed in 1930. 'Scottish Artificial Silk' had moved in during 1927 and the building became a rayon works. Today the original building is listed but stands empty and possibly unsafe to enter.
