Tre persone ferite da un eritreo impazzito
Verso le ore 13 di mercoledì, l'eritreo Zerai Derres, nato ad Hazega (Asmara), giunto in Viale Principessa di Piemonte, pronunciava frasi sconclusionate, attirando così l'attenzione dei passanti. Vistosi osservato, si scagliava contro i più vicini roteando un'arma da taglio indigena e ferendo quelli che gli si erano subito fatti addosso per disarmarlo.
Visto il pericolo, un caposquadra e un milite ferroviario, prontamenti accorsi, facevano fuoco contro l'eritreo, colpendolo alla coscia destra e riuscendo così a disarmarlo e catturarlo.
I feriti, immediatamente soccorsi e accompagnati all'ospedale del Policlinico, sono: il milite ferroviario Vincenzo Veglia, l'impiegato statale Ferdinando Peraldi e il maresciallo capo di fanteria Mario Izzo. Tutti sono stati dichiarati guaribili entro 12 giorni.
Anche lo Zerai Derres è stato portato al Policlinico ove è piantonato. La ferita da lui riportata non presenta alcun carattere di gravità.
Sembra trattarsi di un caso di improvvisa alienazione mentale.
