Description
English: The whaleback steamer SS Charles W. Wetmore in the Weitzel Lock (now removed)ni of the Soo Locks, headed downbound on the first leg of a journey to London, England via the St Lawrence River, carrying 95,000 bushels of wheat. She will not return to the Great Lakes. This image is taken from the Upper Peninsula Digitization Center Collections, image provenance page, image url, and is believed to be in the public domain, as the original photograph was taken in 1891.
