Description
English: The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Boxer (CVA-21) with crewmembers spelling out "Boxer 75,000 Landings" on the flight deck to commemorate reaching that milestone in her career. The landing was made on 19 November 1955 by Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Charles R. Smith, and his crewman, Roland W. Parker, flying a Douglas AD-5N Skyraider of Composite Squadron 35 Det. F "Night Hecklers". The original photograph was released by Commander Naval Forces Far East on 28 November 1955.
